Their interest was initially sparked while brewing beer with equipment which they built.

Fine craft of distilling

DURBANVILLE DISTILLERY

Cold distillation is when a vacuum is created within the still, lowering the boiling-point of alcohol.
In their case the boiling temperature is brought from the traditional 78°c down to a low 28°c.

Our beautiful home

Our humble distillery is moving to a new home!

Not to fear, still in Durbanville area

It is with mixed feelings that we are departing Meerendal Wine Estate. We enjoyed the hospitality and comradery of our gracious hosts.

Our majestic still “Eve” has communicated she is looking for a sister, and therefor we need a bit more space to accommodate the new member of the family. We will be reopening for tastings on the 1st May 2018.
